Eme – Be the scream (Peru)

“Ser el Grito” (Be the Scream) was the exclusive video clip for PRIDE PERU 2019. They want us to hide or to remain quiet. They prefer not to see us, so they can ignore our existence. We are those identities that make people uncomfortable, but that are born out of difference. We are the beauty of the misunderstood, an explosion of freedom. We are queer fire, a nameless dance, an embodied scream. We are a joyous rebellion, one that lives to the fullest in spite of discrimination and violence. We are and we will continue to be, day after day, resistance, love, courage and honesty.
