Lelya Troncoso
She is a feminist Social Psychologist, has a degree in Psychology from the Universidad de Valparaiso, Chile, a Master in Social Psychology from the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain, a Master in Gender Studies from Lund University (Sweden) and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Chile. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Social Work Department at University of Chile.
Her fields of teaching and research are critical social psychology, feminist studies, critical theories of sexuality, intersectionality, memory and Human Rights. She is co-coordinator of the Diversity and Gender Nucleus: intersectional feminist approaches at University of Chile.
Carlos J. Zelada
Carlos J. Zelada is Vice Dean of the Law Faculty at Universidad del Pacifico, Peru, where he is also Associate Professor in Public International Law. He has a Law Degree from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Perú, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Harvard University, USA, where he studied as a Fulbright Foundation scholar.
Before his arrival at the Universidad del Pacifico, he was, for a decade, an official of the Office of the Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, as well as a consultant for the Pan American Health Organization. In parallel, he lectured at the George Washington University International Human Rights Clinic. Prior to this he was associated with the work of civil society organizations that secured the establishment of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in Peru.
In recent years, his research has focused on the study of the discourses of legal actors who participate in judicial processes where discrimination is alleged based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or sexual characteristics.
Member of the Council of the Global Campus of Human Rights, he was one of the expert witnesses appointed by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the case of Vicky Hernández and other v. Honduras
