"I am Lorena Carpanchay, a trans bagualera singer. I was born in the las tierras salteñas de Orán and grew up in Cafayate. The baguala comes from my ancestors, from my great-grandparents, I carry it in my soul. I learned to sing listening to family songs and from my locals. Thus, I began to learn a particular tune from our region and joined those of us who sustain part of the culture of los valles calchaquíes through singing."
