Most LGBTQ+ themed movies are about white gringos discovering their sexuality in some American suburb. The press tells us that we need to get married, that family is the core of society, that only men and women exist. And honestly, I'm not interested in that."

"I prefer to talk about the lost voices in the towns far from social development, in the far north and south of this country, where people consider suicide as the only option when they feel like no one is listening, when they believe their stories need to be buried deep in their rooms, in their shoeboxes.
